Disney Influencer Dominique Brown Dies At 34 After Allergic Reaction

Dominique Brown, a 34-year-old Disney influencer, tragically died after a severe allergic reaction at an event. BoxLunch, a specialty retailer selling apparel, gifts, and pop-culture merchandise, hosted the event in Los Angeles.

This happened on December 5 at the Vibiana, where the Disney influencer attended the event and ate food including ingredients she was allergic to. According to other people who attended the event, Brown did this unknowingly.

According to these other influencers who took notice of the medical emergency, the staff didn’t label the food. Also, according to a user on X who claimed to know Brown, staff told the content creator the meal was safe to eat.

“She was my moms best friend of 10 years,” @hideygrannies claimed. “She asked if there was peanuts in the food and everyone told her no.”

The user, who has now deactivated their account, also said Brown “instantly felt bad” and requested “someone to take her to the hospital.” Everyone allegedly said “no and to take pictures first.” There is no proof yet that this user was being truthful, but the post caught a lot of attention.

The content creator received CPR at the event, according to a PEOPLE report, and they immediately dialed 911.

Public Statements Since The Incident

“We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown,” said a BoxLunch spokesperson to PEOPLE, “a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles.

“Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time.”

This wasn’t the only online statement of Brown’s death. Her brother, Patrick Ramos, wrote a comment on her most recent Instagram post after her death. In this video, Brown was smiling while wearing Winnie The Pooh-themed attire inside a Disney store.

“I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart.”

Brown’s Instagram page, called HellooDomo, had over 20,000 followers. She was known for visiting Disney parks, and most recently she attended the Moana 2 premiere.

Brown also co-founded the BlackGirlDisney account with her friend Mia Von. This account reached over 20,000 followers as well and aimed to uplift women of color content creators in the Disney space.

“I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to her social media fam for showing her so much love and light,” the comment began. “Disney did bring her joy, but it was unparalleled that she found a community who loved her and Disney as much as she did.
